Infinity... Plus One

Purple Rhapsody's next album takes the concept of infinity first explored in Fractal Landscapes and wraps an album around it (a concept at which scientific purists will throw their hands up in despair). The majority of the album will be taken up by one long instrumental track, which will also be the title track. Currently this track looks like it will be about 35 minutes long, although it's not completed yet and may change.

A word from Terry about this: "I've always been fascinated by the concept of Infinity and thinking about this concept threw out so many ideas and inspirations that it just seemed to be a natural progression after my solo piano album. I've read about various conceptual musings and proofs but when you deal with a concept in which you can have a hotel with an infinite number of rooms (all of them occupied by people), and then a bus turns up with an infinite number of passengers and you can mathematically prove that there is room in the hotel for all the passengers then you've got a concept which is not only mind-bending but also inspirational!"

This album has been in the works since early in 2011 and is due for release during spring 2012 if everything goes according to plan!

In the player below is part 5 from the title track - and that part is tentatively called 'Chasing The Edge'.

Santeetlah / Seven Worlds

Seven Worlds cover image

In early 2007 the manager of NinewellsMusic International, John Rawesthorne, contacted Terry to discuss the possibility of Terry writing some original music for a nature awareness documentary entitled Santeetlah. This music was to be relaxing and soothing and to act as an accompaniment to documentary scenes detailing the history and scenery of Lake Santeetlah and the surrounding areas in North Carolina, USA.

Unfortunately the documentary was never completed however the music was deemed too good to waste and was released by NinewellsMusic International as an album called Seven Worlds under the generic Ninewells artist name of Divine Nature.
