EWQL SO Gold update

Hi,

I blogged the other day about how marvellous East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Gold Complete is. 

I’ve got a long way to go to learn how to use it fully… but I’ve uploaded a demo track which is ALL orchestra apart from the piano.

EWQL SO Gold - is maaarvellous

I’ve posted in a few of my blogs/webplaces about having coughed up the money for East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Gold Complete (EWQL SO Gold).

I had problems installing if on Vista (have to turn off UAC before the installer will  run, but even then it didn’t copy all the samples off the DVD and I had to do that manually).

Once it was installed I had a good old play with it and the sounds are fantastic! So many different types of playing (articulations) have been recorded that you really can replicate a complete orchestra.

I’ve been working on replacing the Garritan Orchestra sections in the tracks on my next album with the EWQL SO Gold samples and although it’s a huge amount of work the difference is DEFINITELY worth it.

I’ll post a demo version of one of the updated tracks in the next few days on my MySpace page.

Hi,

As some of you may know, I’m a software developer in my day job (which fortunately makes me just enough money to be a musician in my spare time!).

I recently noticed a problem with searching the internet to find the cheapest price for MP3s and realised that there are sites out there for comparing prices of CDs, DVDs, Games, etc but none for legal MP3 downloads…. so I created one!!!

Search for any album or track and view the results by Artist, Album, Track best matches - and follow the links to the stores too.
